Well-posedness for a Higher-order Benjamin-ono Equation
In this paper we prove that the initial value problem associated to the following higher-order Benjamin-Ono equation ∂tv − bH∂ xv + a∂ xv = cv∂xv − d∂x(vH∂xv + H(v∂xv)), where x, t ∈ R, v is a real-valued function, H is the Hilbert transform, a ∈ R, b, c and d are positive constants, is locally well-posed for initial data v(0) = v0 ∈ H(R), s ≥ 2 or v0 ∈ H(R) ∩ L(R; xdx), k ∈ Z+, k ≥ 2.
متن کاملSharp Global Well-posedness for a Higher Order Schrödinger Equation
Using the theory of almost conserved energies and the “I-method” developed by Colliander, Keel, Staffilani, Takaoka and Tao, we prove that the initial value problem for a higher order Schrödinger equation is globally wellposed in Sobolev spaces of order s > 1/4. This result is sharp.
متن کاملWell-Posedness of Parabolic Differential and Difference Equations with the Fractional Differential Operator
The stable difference scheme for the approximate solution of the initial value problem du(t) dt + D 1 2 t u(t) + Au(t) = f(t), 0 < t < 1, u(0) = 0 for the differential equation in a Banach space E with the strongly positive operator A and fractional operator D 1 2 t is presented. The well-posedness of the difference scheme in difference analogues of spaces of smooth functions is established. In...
متن کاملWell-posedness of Higher-order Camassa–holm Equations
We consider higher-order Camassa–Holm equations describing exponential curves of the manifold of smooth orientation preserving diffeomorphisms of the unit circle in the plane. We establish the existence of a strongly continuous semigroup of global weak solutions. We also present some invariant spaces under the action of that semigroup. Moreover, we prove a “weak equals strong” uniqueness result.
متن کاملFractional order robust adaptive intelligent controller design for fractional-order chaotic systems with unknown input delay, uncertainty and external disturbances
In this paper, a fractional-order robust adaptive intelligent controller (FRAIC) is designed for a class of chaotic fractional order systems with uncertainty, external disturbances and unknown time-varying input time delay. The time delay is considered both constant and time varying. Due to changes in the equilibrium point, adaptive control is used to update the system's momentary information a...
